Auction grades are assigned by independent third-party inspectors at Japan's auction houses. They are not our opinion. The grading scale runs from 1 (poor condition) up to S (showroom perfect/effectively new). A grade of 4 or 4.5 indicates a vehicle in very good condition with only minor cosmetic marks. The letter suffix (A, B, C) refers to the interior condition specifically.
